Emotions are induced by certain chemical processes, so some scientists believe that humans are actually "biochemical machines." Thus, our emotions, such as happiness, sadness, anger and anxiety can be controlled by diet, i.e. food.
When we are angry, our body has a surplus of hormone called noradrenalin, which can be reduced by eating milk and dairy foods: yogurt, kefir, cheese... They subdue anger.
When we are sad it is recommended to eat the food that affects the production of serotonin (“feel-good” hormone) in our brain, such as grains, fats, sweets, or so called mood-busters. Opt for whole-grain, non-refined products and make sure to take them in moderation.
In times when anxiety is consuming our day, it is best to eat fish and good-quality meats (such as chicken or turkey breast).
When we are happy we should eat fruits, vegetables and other healthy foods.
Create your own path to happiness with the help of nutrition!
