Shower for Your Good Mood

I was thinking for a while whether to write about it here or not. It’s not exactly a technique that improves your life once you master it and does not have much to do with developing your inner selves but it can be of tremendous help to both of those goals. However, first and foremost I write this blog to help You, my dear reader, to cheer you up and support you and that’s why I’m writing about the “power of shower” here.

Recently, I have been under a lot of stress, not being able to relax for days. One night I woke up in the dead of the night. Although I was very tired, I have not been able to go back to sleep. I thought I’m going to go insane. And, maybe I thought I’ve lost it, for a moment there, because I have got up and went to bathroom to take a shower.:) Well, that was the best decision I have made for days, because then I discovered the healing power of shower.

Showers in the morning are nice but those after work, or late at night are just pure perfection. Relaxation one gets from those is amazing.

Actually, I now remember, I’ve read that showering is a miraculous and instant remedy for a bad mood, stress and weight gain. Also, showering can alleviate pain, if you’ve got let’s say a cramp in the neck after getting up. The warm water jet supplies your whole body with healing heat, relaxing your muscles, joints and spine.

And why I felt so amazing after taking a shower that night? Well, psychologists say that hot water from the shower helps our brains produce the hormone of happiness.
People under stress taking warm shower can re-establish their inner harmony. Five-minute shower can wash away stress load and soothe irritated nervous system.

Also, in one of the magazines, I’ve read, that if one is taking a shower using combination of grapefruit, fennel and tarragon scents, inhaling them he/she activates certain nerves that stimulate body fat burning. If after a shower you want to feel full of energy then use the shower smells of lemon, orange and jasmine. However, we all need to remember that if we want to feel instantly relaxed by taking a shower it is vital for us to keep it short and not too hot. Not easy when you’re actually in there and feeling so relaxed under those worm jets.

Sometimes, we are so stressed out, worried and/or tired that we can’t even think straight. In such circumstances hot shower is an instant remedy. It’s healthy and helps you clear your mind.
