Great Life Instructions

I don’t have a story for you today but I found these great life instructions, printed on a piece of paper and tucked between the pages in one of my notebooks. I did not put the name of the author down, so I suppose it was unknown to me at the time I’ve printed this stuff out. Plus, I believe, I’ve added some thoughts of my own.

So here we go
  1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
  2. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
  3. When you say, "I love you", mean it.
  4. When you say, "I'm sorry", look the person in the eye.
  5. Never laugh at anyone's dreams.
  6. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
  7. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
  8. Don't judge people by their relatives.
  9. Talk slow but think quickly.
  10. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"
  11. Call your mom.
  12. Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.
  13. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
  14. Do all you can to create a tranquil harmonious home.
  15. Read between the lines.
  16. Pray -- there's immeasurable power in it.
  17. Never interrupt when you are being flattered. Enjoy praise. Just say “Thank you” afterwards.
  18. Don't trust someone who doesn't close their eyes when you kiss them. J
  19. If you make a lot of money, put it to use helping others while you are living. That is wealth's greatest satisfaction.
  20. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a stroke of luck. I always see that afterwards and am so happy that things happened the way they did.
  21. Remember that your character is your destiny.
  22. Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

Thank you for reading. Enjoy your weekend!
